We are now looking for a Facility Technician for our production unit in Karlskoga. You will be stationed at Björkborn Industrial Area, where the production of missile and support products takes place.

Your Role

Your main responsibility is the indoor and outdoor maintenance of our facilities within the area. Your role involves planning and coordinating other actors while you yourself will perform smaller tasks. You troubleshoot and take action based on incoming fault reports for our facilities and have close cooperation with our facility coordinator for the area.

You will have a varied daily routine with tasks including:

• Maintenance and repairs - Regular maintenance and quick repair of the technical systems of the buildings, which may include plumbing, heating, and ventilation (HVAC). But also simpler classic facility-related tasks such as furniture handling, lighting, and lightning protection inspections.

• Troubleshooting - Identify and rectify technical problems and faults by performing careful troubleshooting measures and being able to use appropriate equipment and tools for this.

• Carry out planned maintenance - Ability to establish routines and prevent problems. Long-term maintenance to extend the lifespan of systems. Installation and upgrading of technical systems will also be continuously needed to improve the functionality of the facilities.

• Safety checks and certifications - Perform safety checks and prepare necessary certifications and permits, ensuring that the facility's technical systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.

• Communication - Communicate with property owners, managers, and tenants regarding technical problems, maintenance plans, and any operational disruptions.

In addition to daily practical work, the position involves good and accurate documentation of performed work efforts, repairs, maintenance measures, and any changes in the facility's technical systems. As an employee, you must also keep yourself updated with relevant training and further education.

Your Profile

It is important that you enjoy working independently but also in a team, and that you have a positive attitude towards work and your colleagues. It is also important that you are service-oriented, quality-conscious, and have the ability to organize your work efficiently.

We see that you are a jack-of-all-trades, practical, and enjoy working with your hands. We believe you have a high school education and/or vocational training, preferably with a focus on facility management, operations, or equivalent relevant work experience. It is important that you are computer literate and have some experience working digitally in maintenance systems. It is an advantage if you have experience from trade professions such as electrical, ventilation, and/or plumbing. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is a prerequisite.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
